Steve , Im not sure how to find my way around your neat sight , just learning ,do you have a link to any pics of Ernie , odd that he is in my dreams often & its car racing lol, things we should have done more of to gether [timing was not right ], but moved to the NI by that time I had others on board helping along the way .............................Thanks Steve

Hi Grant, yep there sure are plenty of pics on this site of Ernie. If you look on the right side of this page, towards the top but just beneath the main header banner, you'll see a blank white box with the words 'Advanced Search' just beneath it. If you type 'Sprague', or Ernie Sprague, into that white box, it'll find for you various threads that have photos of both Ernie and Gary.

OK, next batch. Up first is the Coppins Camaro again. Next photo is on the grid at Levin. Reg Cook appears to be having issues with his Mini, and has pulled it off to the side of the track. Then we have a shot of Dennis Marwood in the ex-Chamberlain Trans-Am camaro. Finally, Jim Richards gets the Willment Escort crossed up at Levin, as Collins and Coppins blast out of shot, and Pennington arrives on the scene.

Great to see the Saloons and the Dennis Marwood Camaro.
Saw the car at Pukekohe the 1971 Grand Prix meeting - took a couple of photos - in monochrome;



Finally got to look at the three threads,

Bringing all three threads to the front page ; for a while.

Again bringing the Garry Simkin photos to front page of TRS.

Remember in the lead up to the 1973 Heatway, I was working at the ANZ Bank in Newton, where Woolf Mufflers and Car Wreckers were Customers, and I was a customer of Allan Woolf too with parts and Exhausts / Mufflers.
Allan asked me if I could find out if the ANZ Bank would help sponsor him, they declined.

He had that big off in one of the forests and the Camera Crew TVNZ were right there - the Bank would have had quite a bit of exposure, The Woolf's were fine but the car, the Capri, was rather damaged.
