Update on Today-
This morning , it was a great grid- and the weather was very kind all day with no rain spoiling everyones fun.
We had George back after replacing 2 front suspensions- great commitment her to the fans, take a bow George.
Also son George was running the later Mustang in Touring.
Roger Davis was back , but found the gearbox had split leaking oil- car sidelined,.
Later he very kindly let Barry have a rocker stud for the Monaro.
Adrian Dobbe was going for it again,
Graeme Addis was also doing some serious running getting better each time.
Barry was keeping up , but broke a rocker stud.
The Escorts , Toyota, XA Coupe were entertaining the crowd.
Dennis Running was giving it death with Shane and Robert till he withdrew near the end.
Later that day , field was very thin, as Adrian had broken the Viva gearbox, Gordon Burr had the Escort not start with fuel probs,
Addis Charger sat, George went out for a test in the demonstration,just before the race , but had electrical prob.Jon Marslin, Cam Crawford had to leave early. Didnt see Dennis Running there also.
Poor Roy Bingley was having continual problems with his diff hitting the floor.
Robert Jack took the 2nd win for the day, Shane Johnson second with David Sexton third, Steve in the Toyota and Barry.
I salute all the guys who took part, it was a pleasure looking after each and every one of you
And a huge thanks to the Historic racing Club and track management who absolutely gave every assistance necessary to all of us. Our flaggie Malcolm even retrieving Barrys 3 belts from the track for us- dedication.
As coordinator I awarded Adrian Dobbe the Sportsman Award for this class for his sheer dedication and commitment to Sports Sedans.
It was great fun and we will talk about doing it again.
