Thats it Grant.
Sorry Jac Typo 283 old Impala slugger.
JT......John Thorby...bloody hard case critter he was....great competitor...we had lots of battles in my early years..until I leant to use single pulse turbo's as opposed to split pulse which was best for 4 cylinder cars...then he was a blur in my mirror, along with Jim in the modified VW! Regards, Tony Rutherford.
Ok Allan Moffatt and Jim Richards are obvious here but the Camaro I'm not 100% sure but could be John Riley.
I meant to say that it's Wigram probably about 75.
And a couple from Levels probably a bit earlier.
Levels the same day, I've found a few slides that I converted (incidentally Warehouse have slide converters on sale for $50.00 at the moment) i just have to resize them all.
They're not the greatest but I thought I'ld post everything.
The last one is the Bruce Bellis Cortina but I don't know about the others.
The yellow/black Mk 1 Cortina is my old Cortina cobra, in the hands of the original owner Jim McComb. The Comaro #17 is Bruce Jenner in the ex Coppins car.
A small side note about the Cortina. Jim told me at the time of purchase that it had the ex Fahey 289 in it, and a photo from the Shell Motor racing yearbook of c68 where Paul is looking at the engine backs this up. However, in another thread, when talking about the Kennedy Capri (which I think is the one shown here), someone spoke of putting that engine into the Capri. Confusing.
That's the ex Fahey Mustang in Rod McElrea's colours #147
These are great. Farrar and Baker raced these 2 Camaros in the South Island Supercar races. Farrar raced this Camaro in some GTX Races and I think this is the car today that is bronze and has Crown Court sponsorship on it. Bakers car is this the beginning of the Big Brother Camaro ?. I have never seen these photos. Help me if I am wrong.
Wow lot of work to change the ex Fahey Mustang back into what it is today.
