Did the car race after this for sale ad Craig, In hind sight it was a steal.
Bruce.
I don't think it did race again Bruce. And yes, it was a good price, considering around this time a front running Sports Sedan such as Wayne Huxfords V8 Capri or Inky Tullochs similar car were lapping Manfeild in around 70 - 72 seconds, as a complete package it would have been hard to beat.
But it didn't sell, and it got even cheaper. Here it is still for sale in 1983, less engine:
We really didn't like old race cars back then did we.
If only, oh wait, I did buy one didn't I.
Brings back good memories of some great racing. I was at Baypark that day. And being a Ford fan it was fantastic to see the PDL Mustang which had been around for some time beat Moffats Monza (being the latest machinery from the states) in all three races. Moffat was from happy! The saying was true that day, an oldie but a goodie!
I think this website is incredible!!
Excellent ! The sideburns are gone, but the shades look the same ! Good pic of a good pair.
Hi Guys,
Anyone got any more photos or information to help me with the restoration of this great machine?
regards
Craig
