Great to see the Whittaker's logo on a race car again.

What is the car on the trailer with 550 spyder on the side, I love that era of style and engineering
I believe it is a copy of a cycle car and someone else mentioned it on here - something like Japic, 1925.
I think Ross Cammick or Roger Dowding might have posted details?

Yes, replica of Japic which held a whole bunch of speed records at Brooklands in the 1920s in the 350 cc class. Google has a mountain of info.
Ray, your photos - and of course Nigel's, are a near daily source of delight.
I certainly agree with Michael.
We are spoilt with superb photos every day and they certainly help lift the gloom around here (Santa Barbara County ) at this time.
Thank you Ray, Nigel, Ross and all who share their photos and memories. It is all very much appreciated.

Thanks guys. It's good that others get some pleasure from them as to just bury them in the PC is a bit of a waste. Talking with Nigel last week and we are both very aware that if we keeled over tomorrow, at least if the families have no idea of the value or interest in models, books, magazines, memorabilia and photographs, not everything would have been in vain! At least the photographs would have had a view or two.
As some may know, my wife had a health hiccup a few months ago and as a result, I am in the throes of 'Advanced Care Planning' which also includes what happens to stuff such as memorabilia and the photographs, slides, negative film (and even glass plates!).
Who do you leave it to? An individual historian who may be a couple of decades younger? Is there a national motoring library that also contains memorabilia? Motat? Southwards? What about the older UK stuff? These questions need to be answered now, not left to a family to worry about, where the number one priority would be shifting it all. Probably into a large skip...

All the manuscripts and photos my Mum had wen to National Archives if that's worth a contact Ray.
Chelsea of course. As has been mentioned on here before, the Chelsea Sugar Works are reintroducing factory tours and are building a café which looks as though it will be down at the water's edge and will be a stunning location. I just hope they do a decent large coffee. Whether it will be a 6 or 7 day a week operation we don't yet know, but hopefully, no more than six, so a that this iconic event can carry on.
Every time I see a Jowett sports, I am reminded of a near neighbour who had a Paramount Roadster. Pity that in those days we thought nothing of it, so I have no photograph.

ERC.......we probably did think something of it........Im afraid they were all VERY negative thoughts.....!!!!!!! Were they sort of like a shortened Jowett......Havent seen a picture of one for years.
I was thinking more of just taking a photograph of it, as a rarity, not that we thought too much of it either! If you Google 'Paramount roadster', there are plenty of images.

Back to October briefly for two shots.
Then the twin meeting, with HRSCC on the short track and HRC on the national track. (November 26th) The driver of this Delage hadn't realised he was at the wrong one until I pointed it out to him. Maybe they need better signage to the club track?
Rob Berrgren out in yet another car. Since I first met Rob, it has been 2 litre Capri, Ford Escort, Capri V8, Ferrari (430?), Ford Mustang and now a Dodge Viper. I might even have missed a couple...

At Manfeild- BMW M4 GTR....................
I knew I'd forgotten at least one!...
I think I just saw (and heard) Paul W's Lotus Seven S4 at the local BP station, which now stocks 91 and 98, but doesn't stock the 95 that my wife's car needs... Typical. When I needed BP 98 on a regular basis, I had to travel.
Not everyone's cup of tea, but I have to say that having a drive in one of these would be an experience I'd probably enjoy.
They shared the grid with the Mini's and that didn't go down too well initially.
I presume the same Kevin Townsend who raced Minis years ago?

I did wave Paul, but you were concentrating! Is there a Caffeine & Classics Christmas Eve (Smales Farm Takapuna for those unaware of the best free car show in the area)? I should get a WoF for the Magnette, even though I'm just about to recommence working on it, as the rego is valid to February.

ERC " Is there a Caffeine & Classics Christmas Eve (Smales Farm Takapuna for those unaware of the best free car show in the area)? I should get a WoF for the Magnette, even though I'm just about to recommence working on it, as the rego is valid to February. "
they are holding Caffeine and Classics on the 31st December 2017 - usual time 10;00 am to 1;00 pm, although I arrived right on 10 last time and the carpark was almost full, so I parked close by on a side lane. Seen here with a couple of mates !!
May get there on the 31st depending on " Her Indoors ", and the MX5 is going for a warrant tomorrow, only about 500km since the last one, but who knows !!
