Thanks. Will do. They certainly make a huge difference.

As mentioned on the " Cheetahs " thread by Steve Holmes - a Cheetah is being built up in NZ from original drawings.
Well here a three models of original Race Cars in my collection.
They have recently re-emerged into a large cabinet after being in storage for 15 months. All in good condition too !!
Large ;
and Yes that is an MX5 in the back of the 1;24 scales - a V-Spec same as the real one I own
and small '
owned a TR4 but never a Healey 3000, only it smaller brother the 100 and four Sprites the "little brother".

Chaindrive - Tony, Thanks
I have now put the Big scale version of the Healey's in their own covered cabinet a perspex box on a black base - now have to paint the coreflute and timber that I will use to stage them with other Austin Healey regalia - badges and a background photo.
Another work in progress.!
They will be above an American Corvette Garage scene with road and race Corvette's a Tow Truck a Tyre Truck and garage workshop tools and equipment including Hoists with cars on - here is an early attempt at it.
Again need a background scene of an old garage with signs etc..
Yet another work in progress. !!
The components - base with Snap-on Hoists and some coreflute, and the two [ so far ] sets of tools.
Early idea with vehicles in place but no tools - and need some mechanics.
The perspex Box cover then slips over the top of the base with the garage hoist bases and the coreflute - painted.

Photo from the ATZ Private Collection - posted on a Facebook group.
These sorts of photo give good ideas for backgrounds and Diorama's
Photo from Jeff Drobot from a Facebook page called Scale 143
There were quite a few NZ Drivers who raced them so it seems appropriate they should appear on here.
I have three of the cars shown - but this many - amazing !!
I have #7 second Row Graham Hill in the early car 64 ? and 3 and 4 in the '66 race three Kiwi's in the team, names !! have to look it up
..It was Bruce Denny and Chris !! with a Gurney and a couple of others in the 1 2 3 4 in the back row !!
Tony have contacted Jeff, as he has all sorts of models, mainly USA stuff, told him to look at The Roaring Season posts both forum and Facebook page - .
. How many Kiwi guys have been in Formula ONE Can - Am, Sports Cars, in fact any form of racing there is a Kiwi boy there !!
That Grumpy Lady "Steph - Stevens " - who is on " Model Race Cars " forum runs about 20 pages on Facebook including a great one on the Can -Am series so if looking for ideas on McLarens etc - huge amount of real photo's,I have already "stolen " some for background scenes for models
Cheers Mate
