Now most of the photos are in and the weekend is over it is time to enjoy the 2 days of action here.
Over 8 hours, so sit back, and enjoy. Some of these drivers try very hard !

Monterey...……...
Datsun/Nissan was the featured Marque for the weekend...…...
Great photos Dale. Got any more? Those Datsun coupes are cool looking cars.
The Nissan Hakosuka GTR (red & white) number 9 is a very cool piece of Classic Jap machinery.
Great pics Dale
I found some more photos that were on my damaged camera. Plus a friend may put some of his photos in also.
Hope you don't mind that it has dragged on a bit.
The 1991 Nissan 300 ZX-T # 75T that Steve Millen drove that season and driven now by Craig Bennett.
Something for Roger D.

Some Datsun photos.
(Ken H photos ..) It made it a little bit harder taking them looking toward the sun..
(An Irishman goes to his optician and tells him he thinks he is losing his long distance vision.
The optician says; " Come out side and now look up there."
The Irishman says ; "I can't because I am looking right into the sun."
The optician says; " Good grief mon how much further do you want to see ! ")
Sorry, will I now be banned from TRS ?

No such luck!
Another of my old favorites is the 1965 McLaren-Elva (Meaning it was built at Trojan Works ) # 55.
Modified by Doane Spencer at the Hollywood Sports Cars facility it still is a beautiful looking machine.
The history of the car is very well covered at least to 2011 at this site. (A very interesting read )

A friend sent me some photos he had taken at Laguna Seca and he gave his permission to share them on TRS, but he has been away and it may take a while to enter them.
In the 1955-1961 Sports Cars over 2000 cc class was this 1958 Lister Knobbly # driven by Al Arciero
On display was the Porsche 917/10 # 59 that Hurley Haywood had driven in the 1973-1974 Can Am Series.
(John Adams photos.. )
Wow that just looks stunning!
Here is an article I wrote about the car back in 2013: http://www.theroaringseason.com/show...rs-McLaren-MkI
Some more of the 1966-1972 Trans Am field.
1967 Mustang # 38 driven by Steve Barber
1969 Boss 302 Mustang # 2 driven by Don Dimitriadis
1970 Mustang # 78 driven by Michael Martin
1966 Mustang # 89 driven by Mike Joy
1969 Smokey Yunick Boss 302 Mustang. # 11 driven by Ross Myers
1968 Chevrolet Camaro # 92 driven by Daniel Goldsmith.

Some Tyrrell Formula One.
Mike Cantillon drove well both weekends and placed second in the F1 races both times.
Here his 1980 Tyrrell 010 # 34 is stripped down during preparation for the racing.
Palmo de Vasconcelos came all the way from Brazil with his 1980 Tyrrell 010 # 33 but he did not make it to the second weekend of racing.
Neither did John Delane driving an ex Francois Cevert 1971 Tyrrell 002 # 3 run at the second weekend ,so I was glad I captured it here.

Can't see or open your attachments Ken.
Sorry Nigel,
I usually recheck but got busy so I hope you can see them now. I need you here to put the true quality into taking the photos and also not letting the sun reflection affect the photo. Oh well, I guess it is better than no photos at all.
Hoping this finds you well and thanks for all your fabulous photography and I should not really be on the same forum as a true artist.
Cheers,
Ken.
Yep we can see them now. What great cars. I'm thinking that the Monterey Speed Week might have to go on the bucket list. What with the classic racing at Laguna seca and the Pebble Beach Concours plus ???????? it would seem worth the trip. Must start saving........... and hey - nothing at all wrong with your photos Ken so please keep posting them as everyone on TRS loves looking at them.
