At last, I have finished the filing from the trip - well, almost. A batch of what I classify as 'sundry', such as people or scenic pics still to lock away, but several are in the pile still to upload to TRS.
However, there are still about 450 in the folder for uploading to TRS!

Matt & Duncan Ricketts with my Dad's model of GP1 I presented to them. Duncan's wife Karin, was presented with an award at the annual ERA dinner last week.
"Very many congratulations to Karin Ricketts on being awarded the Francis Howe Trophy for contribution towards the preservation of the ERA marque."

The Connaught is being lapped here by the eventual winner (26) and second place (10). It shows very well the three stages of car development during what was probably the most interesting era of F1 (for me anyway). The transition from rather cumbersome to more aero dynamic front-engined cars to rear engined.

Phew! Took some time to find out that this was a Type 51 Cooper Climax! Few images of it racing on wire wheels on Google and as the programme merely listed the cars in the parade, I wasn't sure whether it was a T43, T45 or T51...

REC, This TR4 " 415VC " is that one of the trio built by Triumph for rallying and initially taken to Canada for a Rally there ?
I really like it and when I had mine and we were re-building it, wanted those front guards with the cut outs and other modifications.
Now trying to find the Oxford Diecast of the car !in 1;43 scale.
To go on this ; DF4958 the 1967 TR4A IRS with Overdrive and Surrey / Targa roof - hard and soft tops -
BMC BOY did some of the panelbeating for me - to get the new ' remanufactured 'guards to match up with the bonnet that I shipped back from Eugene Oregon [ Foreign Parts West ].
In the end car was just rebuilt in 1983/84 and sold in mid 1985 - to help buy a house ..the things you did !!.

I'm seeing red this morning... Must be something to do with the brand new scanner I bought yesterday morning, but had to be returned in the afternoon as the slide/negative film scanner head didn't move...
