Have now read the book, quite an adventure - the story a bit hard to follow at times - great details of certain events and then he seems to be in a hurry to finish a chapter and skips over portions of the drive, especially when in Southern Africa, Rhodesia down to South Africa itself.

As shown in other photos the car is now restored and sits in a Museum alongside other BMC Austin cars.
