It has had a long history since 1947 when it was built by Des Herrick as a speedway midget with a B4 engine. Got a Hudson Terraplane engine in 1948 then converted to a circuit car in 1950 with a Model T rear end and a Bugatti box. Then got an A40 engine when the Hudson expired, then a Singer gearbox (when Chris Amon had it) ....... and on it went with each subsequent owner "improving" it.
